Australia will make two further contributions of USD 50 million over the next 12 months for critical military equipment for Ukraine, on top of the USD 50 million committed to the PURL arms procurement program last December.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of Australia, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The department emphasized that Australia, in partnership with NATO, supports Ukraine to provide critical military equipment and opportunities for self-defense. The funds will be used for anti-aircraft defense and ammunition.

"What happens in Ukraine matters here in the Indo-Pacific region, which is why it is so important for Australia to stay the course and support Ukraine until it finds peace on its own terms. Australia was proud to be the first non-NATO contributor to Ukraine's Priority List of Demands, along with New Zealand. Our continued contribution ensures that Ukraine receives the support it needs to significantly transform its defenses against Russia's unfounded and unprovoked aggression," the Ministry of Defense said.

Also, the Australian armed forces continue to train servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the Kudu operation. The agency emphasized that Australia remains unwavering in its support for Ukraine, which is defending itself from russian aggression.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Germany will provide Ukraine with a three-digit number of air-to-air guided missiles from Bundeswehr warehouses to strengthen air defense.

Great Britain will provide Ukraine with 150,000 drones and 350 air defense missiles.
