A Moscow Oil Refinery owned by the russian company Gazprom Neft has suspended operations following a morning attack by Ukrainian drones. The drones damaged the refinery’s primary processing unit.

Reuters reported this, citing its own sources.

Two unnamed sources told the agency that the attack damaged the crude oil primary refining unit, which accounts for 53% of the plant’s capacity.

They added that the second unit is expected to resume operations shortly.

The Moscow Oil Refinery is located in southeastern moscow. According to information from open sources, its installed capacity is 11 million metric tons per year.

The facility meets 40% of moscow’s gasoline needs and 50% of its diesel fuel needs. In addition, the refinery is the main supplier of fuel to four airports located in moscow and the moscow oblast.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of June 15–16, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a drone attack on the moscow oblast. Moscow’s largest oil refinery was hit.

Meanwhile, in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation, Ukrainian drones struck an oil depot in the village of Poltavskaya. As a result of the strikes, a massive fire broke out at the facility.
