Last week, Ukrainian market saw sharp decline in selling prices for greenhouse cucumbers
This is stated in a report by the EastFruit project, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The report states that another price drop is associated with an increase in the supply of cucumbers from summer greenhouses, primarily from the southern and western regions of the country.

Thus, today the main sales of cucumbers are carried out at prices of UAH 30-55 per kilogram, which is on average 33% cheaper than a week earlier.
According to the project experts, the price drop is due to a seasonal factor - the supply of cucumbers from local farms is rapidly growing on the market.
It is worth noting that a positive moment for Ukrainian producers was the fact that the price collapse fell in the last weeks of the sale of cucumbers of the first crop rotation.
Currently, a number of local greenhouse plants are actively cleaning greenhouses, while producers plan to start implementing the second crop rotation in the second half of summer.
It is noted that already today, Ukrainian greenhouse plants sell cucumbers on average 20% cheaper than in the same period last year.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, cucumber prices continue to decline in Ukraine.
In early May, prices for greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine fell sharply and Ukrainian greenhouse plants shipped this product significantly cheaper than in the corresponding period last year.
