On the evening of June 13 in Irpin, Kyiv Region, a local resident opened fire—the man fired shots at passersby. No one was injured. Police detained the shooter.

The police received a report of a shooting in Irpin around 9:14 p.m. on June 13. It has been preliminarily established that an unknown person fired shots at passersby on one of the city’s streets.
A patrol police response team and an investigative team arrived at the scene.
Law enforcement officers identified and detained the suspect—a 47-year-old local resident. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Law enforcement officers entered the information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations regarding hooliganism (Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a shooting earlier occurred at a hotel in the Sviatoshynskyi District of Kyiv, and police detained the shooter.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian police located and detained two citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey who were wanted internationally for committing particularly serious crimes. The suspects face extradition.
