Kyrylo Budanov, the Head of the Office of the President, announced the creation of an interagency working group to immediately draft a single comprehensive law on the special legal status and regulation of activities in frontline territories.
The politician wrote about this on social media.
Budanov reported on a coordination meeting regarding support for frontline territories, which was held together with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, government officials, and members of parliament
"We must understand the clear language of numbers: today, more than 6 million of our citizens live in the line of fire across 10 regions. These are people who, despite the enemy’s daily terror and hundreds of thousands of destroyed infrastructure facilities, have chosen to remain in Ukraine — to work and live in their communities,” the Head of the President's Office noted.
According to Budanov, temporary solutions in frontline territories no longer work. People require the utmost attention: regarding the protection of energy facilities; disparities in IDP benefits; and the lack of security guarantees for medical workers, educators, and utility workers who are working under shelling.
"We are initiating the creation of an interagency working group to immediately draft a single comprehensive law on the special legal status and regulation of activities in frontline territories.
I am counting on the prompt work of members of parliament and government officials to adopt effectively new rules and provisions governing the functioning of these regions,” the official emphasized.
"People living near the front line must receive maximum support from the state," Budanov added.
