Defense Forces hit two refineries in Tatarstan - General Staff

On the night of Friday, June 12, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine successfully struck the TANEKO and TAIF-NK oil refineries in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan, a subject of the russian federation), as well as the Tolyattikauchuk petrochemical enterprise in the Samara Oblast of the russian federation.

This was stated in a message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Thus, the Defense Forces last night struck the TANEKO and TAIF-NK oil refineries in Nizhnekamsk, after which fires were recorded on the territory of both enterprises.

It is noted that the TANEKO oil refining complex is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the russian federation, its design processing capacity is over 16 million tons of oil per year.

The enterprise produces a wide range of fuels and lubricants, including diesel fuel, aviation fuel and other petroleum products.

The TAIF-NK enterprise is a large oil refining complex, which is distinguished by an extremely high depth of oil processing (after the launch of the complex for deep processing of heavy residues, this indicator is declared at over 95%).

The enterprise processes heavy high-sulfur oil and gas condensate.

The plant's products are divided into several key segments - from bulk fuel to specific raw materials for petrochemicals and military needs.

"The Tolyattikauchuk plant in the Samara Oblast, which specializes in the production of synthetic rubbers (which, in particular, are used in the further production of solid rocket fuel for tactical and ballistic missiles), monomers, fractions and high-octane additives to gasoline, was also hit. The target was hit and a fire broke out on the territory of the plant," the report says.

In addition, strikes were carried out on the command and observation posts of the occupiers in the Obesta and Iskra districts of the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation and in the Marynsk district of the Kherson Region.

Also, enemy control points in the Voskresenka and Pokrovsk districts and an enemy communications hub in the Vesele district of the Donetsk Region were hit.

Among other things, Ukrainian soldiers struck the area of ​​concentration of enemy personnel at the Vostochny training ground in the Novopetrivka district of the Zaporizhzhia Region.

Also, a field artillery depot in the Rybyantseve district of the Luhansk Region and an enemy logistics depot in Mariupol, Donetsk Region were hit.

In addition, the consequences of the June 10 defeat of the Kuibyshev oil refinery in the Samara Oblast of the russian federation were clarified.

"The AVT-4 and AVT-5 primary oil processing plants and the RVS-2000 tank have been confirmed to have been hit. The plant has stopped working," the General Staff said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to a number of monitoring channels and local public media, on the night of June 12, drones attacked the occupied Crimea, as well as Tatarstan and the Samara Oblast in russia, and after explosions at energy and chemical infrastructure facilities, fires broke out.
