President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree on the establishment of the honorary award "Savior Community" to commemorate the courage, mercy and solidarity shown by residents of territorial communities in defending Ukraine's independence during the repulsion of russian armed aggression.

The decree on the new honorary award was published on the website of the Office of the President, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The "Savior Community" award will be awarded to territorial communities of Ukraine whose residents massively provide humanitarian protection and other types of assistance to territorial communities located in front-line regions, in occupied and deoccupied territories.

The basis for the award is also the participation of residents in strengthening the state's defense capabilities and other significant support for Ukraine's independence.
