A high-voltage power line supplying the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant went off as a result of russian shelling. It was reported by NPC Ukrenergo.

The incident occurred on the evening of June 10 during an air raid alert triggered by enemy shelling. Due to damage to the external power line, the Zaporizhzhia NPP was forced to switch to backup diesel generators to meet its own safety needs.

Ukrenergo noted that power engineers are currently unable to inspect the damaged section and begin repair work due to the lack of adequate safety conditions in the area of the line. This incident of a complete power outage at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant marks the 19th such occurrence since the start of the full-scale russian invasion.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of June 4, the Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Plant came under intense shelling, posing a threat to the stable power supply of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

Earlier, the aggressor state russia claimed that the Ukrainian side had allegedly attacked the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant with a drone, prompting the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to issue an official denial. Russia’s accusations are viewed as yet another disinformation campaign.
