The authorities of the aggressor country of the russian federation continue to implement draconian laws that establish a digital "iron curtain" in the country. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).

Thus, the State Duma has banned russians from using any foreign e-mails or services for authorization. From now on, russians can authorize only using russian phone numbers, the state portal Gosuslugi or biometrics.

Owners of sites that will remain authorized through non-russian services will be fined up to RUB 700,000 (about USD 10,000).

"This law has become another step by the Kremlin towards establishing total state control over the russian Internet space. Blocking foreign services, constant disconnections of the mobile Internet, censorship on the network under the guise of "white lists" - all these steps are aimed at isolating russians from independent sources of information and covering them head-on with control and propaganda of war and hatred," the CCD noted.
