President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that on the night of June 6, Ukrainian drones attacked the arsenals and base in the Leningrad Oblast of the russian federation.
Both the Head of State himself and the Special Operations Forces command reported on the event on Facebook.
"It's time to end this war. But the russian leader wants to fight. That's why Ukrainian sanctions are in effect for this aggression. Last night, our drones covered a distance of about 1,000 kilometers to the St. Petersburg region - to the enemy's naval arsenals and the base in Kronstadt.
And our long-range sanctions also covered about 500 kilometers to the Krasnodar Krai and hit an oil depot. Russia needs to end its war and stop attacks on life. Any manifestations of injustice against Ukraine will have a fair response," the Head of State stated.
Zelenskyy added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Defense Intelligence worked together on the strikes.

"After Ukraine destroyed part of russia's capabilities in the Black Sea, the importance of Kronstadt in ensuring the enemy's military potential has significantly increased. But now it's the turn of one of the oldest russian naval bases to burn," said representatives of the Special Operations Forces command.
Recall, as Ukrainian News Agency reported, on the night of June 6, russian regions and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine were subjected to a massive drone attack. As a result of the strikes, fires broke out at oil depots, and damage was also recorded to port infrastructure in Mariupol and Kronstadt.
