On the occasion of Journalist's Day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on awarding 37 journalists, employees of Ukrainian and foreign media for their contribution to the development of journalism and covering the truth about the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.
In particular, the head of state awarded the Order of Merit, 3rd degree posthumously to producer and lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktoria Bobrova (Kvitka). She accompanied film crews at the front, conducted interviews with soldiers and journalistic materials from the front line.
Irish journalist, documentary filmmaker and video reporter Caolan Robertson has been awarded the Order of Merit, 3rd degree. He is the author of documentaries about the war in Ukraine and moved to live in Ukraine in 2024.
In addition, the Order of Merit, 3rd degree will be awarded to the head of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Serhii Tomilenko.
The Order of Princess Olha, 3rd degree, was awarded to Victoria Butenko, senior producer of the television company "CNN International (USA)".
