On the night of June 5, 2026, the Kernel terminal in the port of Chornomorsk was damaged as a result of a russian drone attack on the Odesa Region.
The company has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The statement said that part of the infrastructure for grain storage and transshipment was damaged, leading to the spillage of products and disruption of the terminal’s operations.
Auxiliary storage facilities were also partially destroyed.
It is noted that, most importantly, none of the employees were injured.

The company is currently working to address the aftermath of the attack and is assessing the extent of the damage and related losses.
The company emphasizes that all contractual obligations to partners will be fulfilled on time, as Kernel has an effective system for adapting its logistics chains to modern challenges.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at the end of April, Verevskyi's Kernel secured a USD 45 million loan from the EBRD to build a solar power plant.
The company owns a land bank of over 600,000 hectares—in 2017, Kernel acquired Ukrainian Agrarian Investments and completed its strategy to expand its land bank.
The company’s enterprises produce products under the brands “Shchedryi Dar,” “Stozhar,” and “Chumak Zolota.”
Kernel owns eight oilseed processing plants in Ukraine.
Kernel is the world’s largest producer and exporter of sunflower oil, the largest exporter of grain from Ukraine, an operator of an extensive network of logistics assets, and a leading producer of grains and oilseeds in Ukraine.
