The Coordination Council for Child Protection and Safety under the President was headed by Deputy Head of the President's Office Iryna Vereshchuk instead of former Head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak.

This is stated in Decree No. 450 of June 1, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Zelenskyy created the Coordination Council for Child Protection and Safety as an advisory and consultative body under the President in August 2022, and it was then headed by Head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak.

The main tasks of the council include analytical, expert, and coordination assistance in resolving current and projected issues of protecting the rights and safety of children, in particular in the context of armed aggression against Ukraine and during the reconstruction period, and the formation and submission of proposals to the President on these issues, including mechanisms for searching for and returning to the territory controlled by Ukraine children deported or forcibly displaced as a result of russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.
