During the massive russian strike on Ukraine on the night of June 2, Poland activated its military aviation and strengthened security measures in the airspace.

The department noted that available forces and means were used to control the situation, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance complexes were put on high alert.

The Polish army emphasized that such actions were preventive in nature and were aimed at protecting the country's airspace against the backdrop of russia's intensive attack on neighboring Ukraine.
