Ukraine has enough fortifications and troops on the border to repel a possible attack from Belarus.
Advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhii Beskrestnov (Flash) has stated this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Beskrestnov noted that he decided to answer the questions he receives daily regarding the threat from Belarus.
According to him, although some activity is being recorded that may pose a threat to Ukraine in the future, there is currently no indication of the enemy's readiness to attack from the north.
Beskrestnov stressed that intelligence continues to monitor the situation.
At the same time, the Ukrainian army, according to him, is ready for any scenarios and events.
"Yes, we have enough fortifications, troops on the borders and troops on standby to repel possible aggression. The global invasion of the 2022 format will not happen again. War has changed. Any column of equipment will not last even a few hours," the advisor to the Minister of Defense emphasized.
He believes that the aggressor can use Belarus as a springboard for launching missiles and drones.
Also, according to Beskrestnov, the opening of the front with Belarus can only have the goal of drawing part of the Ukrainian troops to a new section of the front.
"I sincerely believe that the people and army of the Republic of Belarus see the modern format and results of the current war for all sides and will not allow themselves to be drawn into this madness. The peoples of Ukraine and Belarus have nothing to divide and nothing to be at enmity with," "Flash" emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrainian border guards are currently not recording the accumulation of russian troops directly near the border with Belarus, but the threat remains, since self-proclaimed President Aleksandr Lukashenko can at any moment provide infrastructure and already prepared bases for the deployment of russian forces.
