President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko and Verkhovna Rada member, chairman of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense and intelligence Oleksandr Zavitnevych to the Staff.
This is stated in Decree No. 445 of May 29, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The decree notes that the changes in the composition of the Staff took place based on the proposal of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy created the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on February 24, 2022 in connection with russia's armed aggression against Ukraine to provide strategic leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations and law enforcement agencies.
The Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was headed by Zelenskyy, and the coordinator of the Staff is the Secretary of the NSDC.
