After a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels, Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar said that Budapest will not supply weapons and military equipment to the russian-Ukrainian war.
The head of the Hungarian government announced this on the social network Facebook, commenting on the results of negotiations with the head of the Alliance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I told the Secretary General that Hungary will not send any weapons or military equipment to the russian-Ukrainian war," Magyar wrote.
The Prime Minister also said that Hungary will once again become "a reliable partner of the most powerful military-defense alliance in the world."
Separately, Magyar reported that during the meeting the parties agreed on the assessment of the work of the Hungarian military as part of the NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.
On May 22, the Prime Minister of Hungary announced that his country was banning imports of Ukrainian agricultural products and was revoking its withdrawal from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the new Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, for condemning another massive shelling of Ukraine by russia.
