The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission has begun work in Ukraine.
This is announced in the IMF statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The IMF mission, led by Gavin Gray, begins meetings today with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and other partners in the context of the first review of the 2026 Extended Fund Facility and Consultations under Article IV of the IMF's Articles of Agreement," said IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Priscilla Tofano.
The discussions will focus on macroeconomic policy and key structural reforms.
The IMF mission arrived in Kyiv for the first review of the new four-year EFF program of USD 8.1 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the International Monetary Fund expressed concern about Ukraine's ability to continue receiving assistance from the USD 8.1 billion package, as the Verkhovna Rada is delaying the measures necessary to release the financing.
