Russia, the aggressor nation, has once again attacked a United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) warehouse in Dnipro, which was storing food aid for 130,000 people at the time of the strike. This is according to a statement on the official website of the United Nations World Food Programme.
The strike was carried out on Monday, May 25, using an Iskander-M ballistic missile. The warehouse that was attacked contained aid worth a total of approximately USD 1.4 million. This would have been enough to provide for 130,000 people.
"This destroyed a significant quantity of food commodities meant to support people living near the frontline," the statement said.
No WFP personnel were injured in the missile strike; they were in a safe location.
This facility was attacked by the occupiers in November 2025, when it was struck by a drone.
WFP Representative in Ukraine Richard Ragan emphasized that over the past year and a half, there have been 84 incidents affecting the organization’s warehouses, vehicles, distribution points, and property.
"WFP reiterates that international humanitarian law prohibits attacks against civilian and humanitarian infrastructure. Such incidents directly threaten the delivery of life-saving assistance to civilians affected by the war," the statement reads.
In its statement, the WFP does not name the specific party that carried out the missile strike on the warehouse in Dnipro.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 20, the occupier forces launched a missile strike on a UN warehouse in Dnipro, which stored materials for setting up temporary shelters. Two people were killed.
