As of May 1, 2026, the total amount of deposits held by individuals (including individual entrepreneurs) in Ukrainian banks stood at UAH 1,687.3 billion, an increase of UAH 40.1 billion compared to the same figure for the previous month.
This is stated in a report by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
Of the total amount of deposits held by individuals as of May 1, 2026:
- deposits in the national currency – UAH 1,103.8 billion (+UAH 30.4 billion compared to April 2026);
- deposits in foreign currency – UAH 583.5 billion (+UAH 9.7 billion compared to April 2026).
The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors as of May 1, 2026, was 3.2%, and in the structure of the total deposit amount – 11.2%. The total amount of their deposits was UAH 189.8 billion. It should be noted that deposits of individual entrepreneurs are covered by the guarantees of the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2025, the volume of deposits held by individuals in banks grew by 15.4% from UAH 1,212.775 billion.
