On Saturday, May 23, a russian drone attacked a funeral procession in the city of Sumy, as a result of which one person was killed and 8 were injured.

This was announced by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Today, a russian drone attacked a funeral procession on the outskirts of Sumy. People were injured. All of them are being provided with necessary medical assistance. Initially, one person is in serious condition," Hryhorov wrote.

Later, he clarified that nine victims are known, four of whom have already been provided with medical assistance, and another person is in very serious condition - she is undergoing surgery.

According to the latest data from the head of the Regional Military Administration, a man who was seriously injured as a result of a russian strike on a funeral procession died in hospital, although doctors did everything possible to save his life.

The identity of the deceased is currently being established.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of May 13, the russians attacked a private farm in Radkivka, Sumy Region, with a drone, causing a large-scale fire.
