A total of UAH 154 million has been deposited for Andrii Yermak, the former head of the Office of the President — UAH 14 million more than the required bail amount. The High Anti-Corruption Court noted that these funds will remain in the account until someone claims them.
The High Anti-Corruption Court informed the Ukrainian News agency of this.
"They will remain in the account until someone claims them," the High Anti-Corruption Court stated.
It is currently unknown who is supposed to collect these funds. The bail for Yermak was paid between Friday and Sunday. It was only on Monday that it became known that more than the required UAH 140 million had been paid for Yermak.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, former Head of the President’s Office Andrii Yermak spent the weekend in a pretrial detention center, where he was placed following a decision by the High Anti-Corruption Court; however, today, after the bail was posted, he was released from the detention center. A bail of UAH 140 million was posted for Yermak. The High Anti-Corruption Court remanded former Head of the President’s Office Andrii Yermak into custody but set bail at UAH 140 million. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office asked the High Anti-Corruption Court to take former Head of the President’s Office Andrii Yermak into custody and set an alternative bail of UAH 180 million.
