Russia intensifies attacks on Naftogaz: facilities in Chernihiv Region come under attack

On the evening of May 19, russian troops launched a missile strike on gas infrastructure facilities belonging to the Naftogaz Group in the Chernihiv Region. Earlier that day, the russians had attacked the facilities with drones.

It was reported by the Naftogaz press service.

The company noted that several production facilities were simultaneously targeted. Equipment was damaged as a result of the strikes.

"Targeted shelling of the Group’s assets has been ongoing for the fourth consecutive day," Naftogaz emphasized.

According to preliminary data, no employees were injured. Once the security situation stabilizes, specialists will begin assessing the damage and restoring the damaged facilities.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the evening of May 18, russian forces struck Naftogaz Group facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk Region with three ballistic missiles.

Since the beginning of this year alone, russia has attacked the Naftogaz Group’s infrastructure about 40 times.
