Russia, the aggressor nation, continues to attack civilian energy infrastructure. As a result, as of the morning of May 20, power outages have affected consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy Regions. Emergency repair work has already begun. It was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.

Consequences of the bad weather

Due to severe weather conditions (heavy rain, thunderstorms), more than 30 settlements in three regions—Poltava, Kyiv, and Chernihiv—were completely or partially without power as of this morning. Repair crews from regional power companies are working to restore power lines damaged by the storm.

Consumption

Electricity consumption is in line with seasonal trends.

"Please use electricity sparingly. Do not turn on several high-power electrical appliances at the same time in the evening—from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.," the utility officials added.
