Russian troops are massively attacking the oil and gas infrastructure of the Naftogaz Group for the third day in a row.
This is stated in a message from the Naftogaz of Ukraine Group, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The message states that on the morning of May 19, the enemy struck several gas infrastructure facilities in the Chernihiv Region at once.
"As a result of drone strikes on the territory of production facilities, the destruction of critically important equipment was recorded. The personnel of one of the attacked facilities were evacuated. The main thing is that there were no casualties," said Serhii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
All relevant services are working on the ground. An assessment of the consequences of the attack and clarification of the extent of damage are ongoing.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the evening of May 18, russian troops fired three ballistic missiles at Naftogaz Group facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk Region.
Since the beginning of this year alone, russia has attacked Naftogaz Group infrastructure about 40 times.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has carried out 401 attacks on Naftogaz Group infrastructure, with a record number recorded in 2025: 229 attacks - more than in the previous three years combined.
