According to the National Bank's operational data, the volume of loans issued by commercial banks to the corporate sector and individuals increased by 2.3% to UAH 1,292.259 billion in April.
This is stated in the National Bank's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Since the beginning of the year, the volume of loans to the economy has increased by 7.9% from UAH 1,197.680 billion.
The volume of hryvnia loans to legal entities for the reporting month increased by 3.7% to UAH 609.288 billion.
The volume of loans issued to businesses in foreign currency increased by 1% to UAH 303.275 billion.
The volume of loans issued to the population for the reporting period increased by 1.2% to UAH 373.303 billion.
Interest rates in April on hryvnia loans for businesses increased by 1 percentage point to 15.8%, for the population - increased by 0.4 percentage points to 37%.
On foreign currency loans, rates for businesses were 6.1%.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2025, the volume of loans in the economy as a whole increased by 8.2% from UAH 1,106.8 billion.
In 2024, the volume of loans in the economy increased by 10.9% from UAH 997.877 billion.
In 2023, the volume of loans in the economy decreased by 1% from UAH 1,007.648 billion.
In 2022, the volume of loans in the economy decreased by 3.5% from UAH 1,044.049 billion.
In 2021, the volume of loans in the economy increased by 10% from UAH 948.386 billion to UAH 1,044.049 billion.
