Iran has agreed to a partial freeze of its nuclear program on condition that the highly enriched uranium stocks are transferred not to the US, but to russia. Tehran included this condition in the updated peace proposal, which was transferred to Washington via Pakistan.

This is reported by Al Arabiya.

According to sources, the Iranian side is proposing a multi-level long-term truce with a wording that will allow Tehran to avoid political losses.

Iran is ready to temporarily freeze its nuclear program, but it is not about its complete curtailment. One of the key conditions is the transfer of about 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium to russia.

Tehran also proposes a gradual opening of the Strait of Hormuz with the participation of Pakistan and Oman as guarantors of shipping safety. At the same time, Iran wants to separate the issue of passage through the strait from the nuclear negotiations.

The parties plan to postpone the most difficult topics - in particular, further enrichment of uranium and the future of the nuclear program - to the next stages of the negotiations.

At the same time, according to Axios, Washington considers the new proposal to be only "slightly better" than the previous version and insufficient for a full-fledged agreement.

It is also reported that the US is currently ready to unfreeze only some of Iran's assets, while Tehran is seeking broader concessions.

The Iranian Tasnim agency claims that Washington has allegedly agreed to temporarily ease oil sanctions during the negotiations, but there is currently no official confirmation of this information.

Recall that the US may launch a land operation to seize Iranian enriched uranium in the coming days.
