On the night of May 19, the russian federation was hit by a massive drone attack, as a result of which Moscow, Taganrog, as well as oil refineries in Yaroslavl and Krasnodar Krai were hit. This is reported by russian media and Telegram channels.
Due to the air threat in some regions, local authorities were forced to block traffic and introduce emergency restrictions.
The largest number of reports of explosions and damage came from Yaroslavl, where the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery was hit. Due to the incident at the enterprise, the authorities closed part of the city to civilian transport, and also blocked the exit towards Moscow in the area of the industrial zone. In the russian capital itself, restrictions were also introduced due to the air threat, although they officially announced that three drones had been shot down.
It was also noisy in other russian regions. In particular, in the city of Taganrog around midnight, local residents heard explosions and reported certain "consequences on the ground". In the Krasnodar Krai, namely in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban, active air defense work was recorded near the local refinery. In addition, throughout the night, russian air defense tried to repel an air attack in the Voronezh, Oryol and Tula Oblasts.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of May 16-17, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the territory of the aggressor country, russia, in particular a number of facilities in the Moscow Oblast.
In the Moscow Oblast, Ukrainian UAVs hit a factory that produces electronics used in the production of precision weapons. A pumping station located on the oil pipeline ring around Moscow was also hit.
