In Kyiv, from July 15, they plan to introduce new fares for public transport, according to which a single trip will cost UAH 30. The Kyiv City State Administration reported this on Monday, May 18.
The Kyiv City State Administration noted that fares in the capital have not been revised since 2018, and that during this time the costs of electricity, fuel, labor and maintenance of transport infrastructure have increased. The new tariffs are planned to be introduced from July 15.
The cost of one trip will depend on the number of trips purchased on the transport card:
- 1-9 trips - UAH 30
- 10-19 - UAH 28.90
- 20-29 - UAH 27.80
- 30-39 - UAH 26.60
- 40-49 - UAH 25.50
- 50 trips - UAH 25
If monthly passes are purchased, the cost of one trip will be approximately UAH 23.3–23.6.
For students and pupils, preferential conditions remain:
- students will pay 50% of the cost of the monthly pass;
- students will use public transport for free during the school year, and with a 75% discount in the summer.
Separately, they plan to introduce a transfer ticket for UAH 60, which will allow unlimited transfers between the metro and ground transport for 90 minutes. The Kyiv City State Administration also announced a system of discounts for passengers who regularly use public transport.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, starting May 16, Lviv will increase the cost of travel on all public transport by 20-35%.
