On the night of May 18, russian troops carried out another large-scale air attack on Ukraine, using a record number of weapons - 524 strike drones and 22 missiles of various types, including ballistic and cruise missiles. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the consequences of the strikes.

As a result of the shelling, destruction was recorded in eight regions of Ukraine. As of this morning, dozens of wounded people were known throughout the country, including children. The Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa Regions were the most affected.

In Dnipro and the region, the air attack lasted for several hours. In the city itself, a residential high-rise building and other civilian infrastructure facilities were significantly damaged by a missile strike. In addition, energy system facilities were hit in the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

Russian drones were recorded in Odesa. One of the drones hit a merchant ship belonging to China. Commenting on this incident, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the russian military could not have not known which object was in the sea.
