This week, Ukrainian forces struck russian air defense systems, aircraft, ships, and oil infrastructure facilities deep within russian territory.
A video documenting the strikes was released by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the head of state, the targets struck included a Be-200 amphibious aircraft, a Ka-27 helicopter, a cargo ship carrying ammunition, a Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system, a Tor air defense system, a Redut-2US communications system, as well as russian drones.
Separately, Ukrainian strikes targeted russian oil infrastructure facilities and ships.
The President emphasized that some of the operations are still ongoing, so the video does not show all the results of the Ukrainian forces’ work.
"The distance is nearly 1,000 kilometers from the front line," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
According to him, these strikes are a response to russian attacks on Ukraine.
"These are entirely justified responses to what the Russians are doing. We will increase the range and frequency of our strikes," the President stated.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and Ukrainian intelligence officers for the precision of the strikes and their work targeting russian targets deep behind enemy lines.
