The russians may be installing electronic warfare equipment on certain Shahed-type drones to jam Ukrainian interceptor drones.

Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an advisor to the Minister of Defense, noted this on Facebook.

According to him, "there are reasonable suspicions that certain 'Shaheds' have been equipped with electronic warfare (EW) systems to jam our interceptor drones and EW systems to interfere with radar."

As Beskrestnov emphasized, “there is nothing surprising here for us, but it is important to keep the entire situation under control even before the facts are confirmed.”

The advisor to the Minister of Defense urged his military colleagues, “whoever notices any unusual events around the ‘Shaheds,’ to report them, for example, via the website.”

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to Beskrestnov, an adviser to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, the presence of a large number of "Shaheds" allows the russians to stretch out their attack over time, creating a constant strain on the Ukrainian air defense system.
