Residents of more than 30 settlements in the Odesa Region were left without power following an attack by the russian aggressor’s military on one of the region’s power facilities.

Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported this on Thursday, May 14.

According to him, in the evening, the invaders struck the energy infrastructure of the Odesa Region. Damage to an energy facility in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District was recorded. There were no casualties.

"As a result of the attack, 32 settlements were left without power. In total, more than 15,000 customers were left without electricity," Kiper wrote.

He added that energy workers are taking all measures to quickly restore power. Backup power sources were activated to keep critical infrastructure facilities operational.

As of 9:00 p.m., power engineers had managed to restore power to 12,000 customers.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of May 12–13, the occupier forces attacked the Odesa Region with drones. As a result of the drone strikes, fires broke out at several industrial facilities.

As a reminder, on May 11, the Security Service of Ukraine reported the arrest of a man who had collaborated with the occupiers and helped them coordinate strikes on Odesa.
