In January-March of this year, the number of successful electronic identifications using the NBU BankID steadily increased and reached 33 million, which is 7% more than in the Q4 of 2025.
This is stated in the NBU message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Ukrainian citizens are increasingly using the NBU BankID system for remote identification and verification for remote receipt of services in various areas.
This increase was due to an increase in the number of successful electronic identifications in:
- non-commercial subscribers - by 33% to 30.8 million;
- commercial subscribers - by 36% to 2.2 million.
In the first quarter of 2026, three new subscribers - service providers joined the system: LLC "GLOVOAPP UKRAINE" (Glovo) (user age verification service) and two financial companies (issuance of online loans).
At the end of the first quarter of this year, the BankID NBU System had 38 banks-identifiers and 113 subscribers – service providers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, from June 24, tariffs for services provided by the National Bank to its subscribers, in particular, for their connection to the system and its processing of successful user identifications, are being restored in the BankID system of the National Bank.
The BankID NBU system is a national system of remote electronic identification and verification of users through banks, which allows users to confirm their identity electronically and receive public, financial and other services remotely.
