On the night of May 14, russian troops carried out another massive attack on Kyiv, striking residential areas and civilian infrastructure in various districts of the capital. As a result of the shelling, there were injured, people were trapped under rubble, emergency rescue operations are ongoing. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The greatest destruction was suffered by the Darnytskyi district. There, structures collapsed as a result of a hit on a multi-storey residential building. Rescuers managed to save 10 people, but residents may remain under the rubble. The search and rescue operation is ongoing. In one of the locations, debris was also recorded falling onto the territory of a gas station.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a fire broke out on the roof of a five-story building due to the attack, and there is at least one victim. In addition, drones hit a residential building, damaged the private sector, and set garages and cars on fire at other addresses.
In the Obolonskyi district, debris fell onto the territory of a parking lot and a business center, and also damaged an apartment on the 12th floor of a residential building. Separately, a 25-story unfinished building was hit. There are reports of injuries.
In the Solomianskyi district, a parked car caught fire, and in the Holosiivskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts, debris was found in open areas and on the roadway.
Rescuers, medics, and law enforcement officers are working on the scene. Information on the number of victims and the extent of the damage is being clarified.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from 08:00 am to 06:30 pm yesterday, the invaders launched almost 800 drones of various types over Ukraine. Including the night, the total number of drones involved in the attack is almost 900.
Earlier today, President Zelenskyy said that after a massive drone attack, the invaders may strike Ukraine with missiles.
And the advisor to the Minister of Defense, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, said that the air attack by the invaders may continue until the middle of tomorrow.
