A new wave of systematic looting of the local population has begun in the temporarily occupied Mariupol of the Donetsk Region: on the eve of May 9, the invaders massively posted notices on houses demanding that residents vacate their apartments and hand over the keys within three days.
This is stated in a message from the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The CCD said that housing is recognized as "ownerless", even if people live in it or legal owners who are in the process of registering an inheritance.
Residents are told that they allegedly do not have "proper documents", although the occupiers themselves block the possibility of obtaining them.
It is noted that eviction notices are posted without signatures, seals or contact details.
When people contact the "administration", officials disavow the announcements, while the executors on the ground introduce themselves as employees of the same administration.
According to the CCD, there have been cases where unknown persons with lists from the occupation authorities walk through the entrances and "choose" housing for themselves among those apartments that have already been entered into the registers of "ownerless property".
"Russia came not to "liberate", but to kill and take away the last. Promises of "protection" and "restoration" turned out to be only a screen for the banal robbery of even the least protected segments of the population, in particular pensioners," the CCD emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the CCD previously told how russia is turning kindergartens into a tool for war propaganda.
