The Chinese Embassy in the United States has published a list of four "red lines" in relations with the United States that cannot be violated, amid the arrival of US President Donald Trump in the country.
This was reported on the X department's social network.
"The four red lines in relations between China and the United States cannot be violated," the message says.
The mentioned controversial issues include four topics:
- The Taiwan issue.
- Democracy and human rights.
- Development paths and political systems.
- China's right to development.
Trump arrived in Beijing on May 13. During a bilateral meeting on Thursday, the leaders of the two countries are expected to discuss the war in Iran, trade issues and US arms sales to Taiwan.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially announced that Trump will visit China on May 13-15 at the invitation of Xi Jinping.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio traveled to China with President Donald Trump for talks with the country's leader Xi Jinping, but the Chinese side previously changed the spelling of his surname to circumvent sanctions imposed against Rubio by Beijing.
Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects that the issue of ending the russian-Ukrainian war will be raised while US President Donald Trump is on a visit to China.
