Former head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak said that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) was pressured to hand him over suspicion. He himself considers the suspicion unfounded and stated that he will stay in Ukraine and is not going to flee.

Yermak wrote about this in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The first court hearing in the case, within the framework of which I was notified of the suspicion, took place. Together with the lawyers, we are working with the case materials. But after the first acquaintance, I can repeat what I told journalists: the notification of the suspicion is unfounded.

As a lawyer with over 30 years of experience, I have always been guided by the law. And now I will also protect my rights, my name and my reputation exclusively within the laws of Ukraine. I am open to all procedural actions.

At the same time, I consider it necessary to pay attention to the obvious. In recent months, there has been unprecedented public pressure on law enforcement agencies to file a report of suspicion against me. I am convinced that the investigation should be independent of political statements, media campaigns, or any other forms of influence.

I am staying in Ukraine and will continue to practice law. I plan to travel to the front lines to meet the military, work with their requests, support our defenders, former prisoners of war, and their families. Because this is my country and my duty," he wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) prosecutors are asking the court to seize the former head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, his diplomatic passport and other passports for traveling abroad, and to ban him from traveling abroad. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office is asking the High Anti-Corruption Court to take the former head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, into custody and set an alternative bail of UAH 180 million.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) informed Yermak about suspicion in the "Dynasty" case in Kozyn. Yermak's lawyer considers the suspicion unfounded and denies his involvement in the "laundering" of UAH 460 million.
