President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Romania, where the summit of the Bucharest Nine countries (Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic) is taking place. Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We arrived together with the First Lady in Romania. Today, the summit of the Bucharest Nine countries is taking place here with the participation of the countries of Northern Europe. Important meetings are planned on the sidelines of the summit," he said.
Zelenskyy added that everyone in the world now needs joint solutions for greater security, Ukraine will attract additional resources for defense and expand the Drone Deals format (an agreement on the joint production of UAVs, the development of military technologies and the export of Ukrainian defense developments).
Olena Zelenska will meet with the First Lady of Romania and take part in the signing of memorandums on the accession of Romanian universities to the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy previously announced that Ukraine and the European Union have agreed to actively move towards the joint production of drones (Drone Deal).
On Wednesday, the Bucharest Nine summit is taking place in Bucharest, which will be attended by, in addition to the leaders of the B9 countries, the NATO Secretary General and the leaders of the Scandinavian countries - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
