Trump says russia's war against Ukraine is "very close" to ending

US President Donald Trump said that the war between russia and Ukraine, in his opinion, is "very close" to ending.

Trump made this statement in a conversation with reporters before flying to China.

"The end of the war in Ukraine, I really think it is very close. I think we will eventually reach a settlement between russia and Ukraine," the US President said.

During his meeting with the press, Trump also answered questions about possible agreements with Kremlin leader vladimir putin that russia "should get all of Donbas." To this he replied: "No."

In addition, Trump commented on the possibility of a trip to russia. He neither confirmed nor denied such a visit, stating that he would do "everything necessary" to end the war.

Recall that on May 9, putin said that, in his opinion, the war between russia and Ukraine is "nearing its end." His spokesman later repeated this statement.
