Man liable for military service stabs two employees of territorial recruitment and social support center in Odesa Region

A man liable for military service attacked members of a mobilization team with a knife, seriously injuring two servicemen. It was reported by the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support on Facebook on Sunday, May 10.

The incident occurred on May 10. In the village of Baibuzivka, Savran Community, Podilskyi District, a notification team stopped a man to check his military registration documents. It turned out that he was wanted by the authorities.

"While escorting the offender to the territorial recruitment center to process administrative paperwork, the citizen launched an armed attack on the personnel of the notification team. Using a bladed weapon, the assailant inflicted multiple stab wounds on two servicemen," the statement reads.

Doctors are currently fighting to save their lives.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 21, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, stated that the number of complaints regarding violations of citizens’ rights during mobilization and unlawful actions by territorial recruitment and social support centers' employees in the Odesa Region has increased by 40% this year.
