On the night of May 9, russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 43 strike drones, despite the previously announced ceasefire. The air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the enemy drones.
This was reported on the official page of the department on the Telegram social network by representatives of the Ukrainian Air Force.
From evening to morning, the russians attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea and 43 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas type and Parody simulator drones from the directions: Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo - the russian federation.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 am, air defense shot down/suppressed 34 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types, and Parody simulator drones in the south, north, and east of the country.
A missile hit and 9 strike drones were recorded at 6 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (fragments) at 2 locations.
