For the fifth consecutive month, Ukrainian drones have been taking out more invaders than russia can mobilize into its army. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has reported this on Facebook, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
"Despite all the challenges, we continue to maintain the initiative and set the pace. Our advantage in FPV drones is growing. Since December, for the fifth consecutive month, the unmanned systems units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces alone have neutralized more invaders than Russia has managed to mobilize into its army," he said.
According to him, Ukrainian unmanned systems carried out nearly 357,000 combat missions in April; over 160,700 verified targets were struck — a 2% increase from March; more than 7,700 enemy UAV pilot positions were neutralized; and 424 enemy targets were struck by Middle Strike systems at ranges of 20–250 km.
Among the key tasks, Syrskyi noted improving the effectiveness of electronic warfare, increasing the use of ground-based robotic electronic warfare platforms, and reviewing the effectiveness of individual electronic warfare systems.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to Syrsky, russia is urgently strengthening air defense over moscow and the Krasnodar Krai to counter Ukrainian strike drones.
Earlier, Syrskyi reported that in March, the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s interceptor drones destroyed 55% more targets compared to February.
