During his trip to moscow, Prime Minister Robert Fico will deliver a message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to russian president vladimir putin.

Slovak Foreign Ministry State Secretary Rastislav Hovanec has announced this, according to the media outlet Marker.

According to Hovanec, during the meeting, Fico may also receive information from putin regarding his vision for ending the war.

The Slovak Foreign Ministry representative stated that it is currently necessary to maintain contact with all parties. He also said that Europe should be interested in participating in negotiations regarding a future peace agreement.

Hovanec added that the idea of direct contacts with the kremlin in the context of the war in Ukraine is being supported by an increasing number of European politicians.

As a reminder, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is traveling to moscow but will not attend the parade on Red Square.

Earlier, Fico stated that his country supports Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and is ready to provide assistance.
