The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another FSB agent in Kyiv. Acting on orders from the russians, he organized arson attacks on Defense Forces vehicles in the capital. The suspect sought out potential perpetrators for these acts of sabotage, recruited them, and coordinated their subversive activities. This is stated in a report by the SSU.

"In March of this year, SSU officers caught two enemy agents 'red-handed' who were supervised by this suspect and who, on his orders, were setting cars on fire in the Desnianskyi District of the capital," the security service said.

It is noted that the coordinator of the arsonists turned out to be a conscript who deserted his post in the Kharkiv Region and fled to the capital, where he began working for the enemy.

He came to the attention of the russian special services while looking for “quick money” on Telegram channels.

After being recruited, he began enlisting local drug addicts to work for the FSB, who agreed to carry out arson attacks for a "dose" of drugs.

Before the crime, they would agree on a potential “target” with the resident, and after the arson, they would send him photos and videos of the fire. He would then report to his FSB handler via messenger.

SSU officers documented the crimes of the agent group’s operative and detained him at his residence in Kyiv. During searches, a smartphone containing evidence of his work for the FSB was seized from the detainee.

SSU investigators informed him that he was suspected of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations (Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The suspect is currently in custody. He faces up to 8 years in prison.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Security Service detained another FSB agent who was coordinating the aggressor country’s (russia’s) airstrikes on the frontline region of Zaporizhzhia.
