Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have found damage to part of the meteorological equipment of the Zaporizhzhia NPP External Radiation Monitoring Laboratory after a drone attack.

This was reported by the IAEA.

On May 5, a group of IAEA experts visited the Zaporizhzhia NPP External Radiation Monitoring Laboratory after it became known about the attack on it using a drone on May 4.

"Experts have recorded damage to part of the laboratory's meteorological equipment, which is currently not working," the report says.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi called for maximum military restraint near all nuclear facilities to avoid security risks.

As a reminder, on May 4, the IAEA reported that a drone attacked the External Radiation Monitoring Laboratory of the Zaporizhzhia NPP. No casualties were reported. At that time, the IAEA team at the scene requested access to the laboratory.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the morning of April 27, a drone hit a transport workshop building located near the Zaporizhzhia NPP industrial site. The driver was killed as a result of the explosion.
