Russians massively attack Naftogaz Group facilities: 5 killed, 37 wounded

On the night of May 4-5, russian troops carried out a massive attack on Naftogaz Group facilities, hitting gas production facilities in the Poltava and Kharkiv Regions.

This is announced in a statement by Naftogaz of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The statement said that the enemy used combined tactics - drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of the shelling, significant destruction and loss of production were recorded.

"The most painful thing is the loss of colleagues. Three employees of the Naftogaz Group and two rescuers of the State Emergency Service were killed, another 37 people were injured. My sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. The injured are being provided with all necessary medical assistance," said Serhii Koretskyi, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

He added that all relevant services are working on the ground.

As soon as the security situation allows, specialists will begin assessing the consequences and carrying out restoration work.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, during the day on May 3, russia attacked five infrastructure facilities of the Naftogaz Group in the Kharkiv and Sumy Regions.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has carried out 401 attacks on the infrastructure of the Naftogaz Group, and in 2025 a record number was recorded: 229 attacks - more than in the previous three years combined.
