On Monday, April 4, in the morning, russian troops launched a missile strike on Merefa in the Kharkiv Region, damaging houses, shops and a service station; four people were killed and 18 were injured.
This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov and the State Emergency Service on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to preliminary information, the attack resulted in a fire in a private house and a car, and damaged private and apartment buildings, 4 shops, and a service station.
The head of the Regional Military Administration reported that three people were killed and 8 were injured in the russian strike.
Later, it became known that the number of people killed in the russian attack on Merefa increased to four: 50- and 63-year-old men and 41- and 52-year-old women were killed.
It is also reported that 18 people were injured in the strike.
Among the injured, three people are in serious condition, 13 people suffered moderate blast injuries, and two victims have acute stress reactions.
According to the State Emergency Service, at least 10 households, 4 shops, a service station, an administrative building, 2 cars, and a restaurant were damaged. The liquidation of the consequences is ongoing.
Information on the number of victims is being clarified.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, on the night of Monday, May 4, russian troops launched 155 strike drones over the territory of Ukraine, and air defense forces managed to neutralize 135 of them.
