In the Polish town of Jarocin, law enforcement officers detained a 21-year-old Ukrainian citizen on suspicion of murdering a 35-year-old fellow countryman, whose body was found with signs of a fatal wound caused by a sharp object.

The incident occurred on the evening of May 1 on Zamkowa Street. Around 11:30 p.m., a passerby discovered a man showing no signs of life, lying in a pool of blood. Paramedics who responded to the call pronounced him dead.
The deceased was a 35-year-old Ukrainian man who lived in the Jarocin County. Investigators are considering the possibility of intentional homicide and are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
The suspect was identified and apprehended thanks to analysis of surveillance camera footage and the work of forensic experts. According to police, he was sober at the time of his arrest.
The suspect is currently being held in custody; no official charges have been filed against him yet, and the interrogation is ongoing.
As a reminder, a Ukrainian man was killed in the Irish city of Cork in a knife attack. It is known that after being wounded, the man made it home and lost consciousness, but efforts to save him were unsuccessful. He had a wife and a young daughter.
