SBU claims responsibility for another attack on Tuapse port

Drones from the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) Alpha Special Operations Center, in cooperation with other components of the Security and Defense Forces (Defense Intelligence and Unmanned Systems Forces), once again struck the infrastructure of the Tuapse seaport and the Tuapse Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation.

The SSU announced this, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The SSU emphasized that the marine oil terminal and the Tuapse Oil Refinery are important production complexes and logistics hubs that provide a link between the production, processing and export of russian oil. The Tuapse Oil Refinery is the only oil refinery in russia on the Black Sea coast. Its capacity is almost 12 million tons of oil per year.

As a result of the strike by Ukrainian drones, a fire broke out in the oil and fuel mixture in the tanks. A column of black smoke rises above the terminal.

The Security Service continues to inflict serious damage on the russian economy, working on facilities that provide petrodollar revenues to its budget. Such special operations, according to the SSU, reduce the russian federation's ability to continue the war against Ukraine. The SSU assured that this work will continue.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of May 1 in the city of Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation, a fire broke out on the territory of a marine terminal after the threat of a drone attack was announced.

On April 20, residents of Tuapse complained about "oil rain" that fell in the city amid a large-scale fire after a UAV attack. On April 24, russian media wrote that Tuapse is threatened with disruption of the tourist season due to pollution of the sea and coast as a result of a drone attack on the refinery.
